Master Cylinder Check Tip

Inspect your master cylinder rod end for leaks at rubber boot. Inspect the condition of fluid in reservoir, is it contaminated. Does it need to be replaced? If fluid level is low, and you can’t find any external leaks you have to determine where the fluid is going. This may require a little extra work, but with your brakes involved you’ll want to make the time.
Possible answers are fluid is leaking at wheel cylinders, collecting into the drum.

CHARGING:
• Under normal circumstances, we recommend charging when a battery reaches 80% depth of discharge (near the “red zone” on most discharge meters), not before.
• Most new batteries are designed to provide 1,500 charge “cycles” or more. If your application is light to medium duty, or sporadic, charge only when necessary rather than daily. It will spread the cycle life of the battery over a much longer period of time, and ensure you get the maximum number of productive years from your investment.
• Select “weekend”, “equalize” or “weekly” charge (depending on your brand of charger) approx. every 5 to 10 cycles to keep the battery performing at peak efficiency. Failure to do so or selecting this option too often will harm the battery and shorten its effective life.

This will insure at a glance you or your drivers during their daily operation check can determine just how long it’s been since the last service.
